Great looking set of China!
This china looks terrific. It's clean and elegant looking. The pieces are heavy and have a solid feel to them. The pieces are all dishwasher safe (although Mikasa cautions against it because of the platinum bands). And, for the Amazon price of $30 per placesetting, it's a terrific way to start a moderately priced set of china. The china easily looks like it would be two or three times the cost.
However, this set is not flawless. If you look close, you'll notice that the quality of the worksmanship is less than stellar. On about half the items in the placesetting, the crown bands do not line up at the seems. Although it's not terribly off-set, the seems are noticeable.
Also, the china itself has slight imperfections, such as dimples in the surface of the china. I bought about 8 placesettings, and there were a total of 7 pieces that had these tiny dimples (mostly in the tea cups). Now, these dimples are very small... about the size of a pin prick, and no deeper than 1 or 2...
Very stylish yet robust and durable
I get compliments on this Mikasa Service. It is very pretty. And it is dish washer proof and durable. I have had friends ask me where you can buy it and one of my girlfriends already started buying and collecting it.

LOVE this china setting. A BARGAIN in comparison to other brands that could just as easily break or chip!!!!
P.S. Hand wash to maintain the integrity of the platinum trimming.
