Royal Doulton Atlanta 5-Piece Dinnerware Place Setting, Service for 1

Beautiful china with bright blue and silver trim
My husband and I originally received 4 sets of this from Hudsons/ Marshall Fields/ Macys for our wedding in 2004, and couldn't pass up the great deal on Amazon for about 1/3 the price our guests bought it for! We've used it at least a dozen times and always get complements on the beautiful blue color and silver key pattern on the plate (it has sliver trim around edges as well).

Anyway, although it says dishwasher safe on the back of the plate, we wash them by hand. Also, due the the silver design, we do not use them in the microwave, either. I have put the plates in the oven on warm, and they've been fine. After 3 years they still look brand new. Utensils and knives have not scratched the surface at all.

The only thing I don't like is the dinenr plate is very flat, so if you have something juicy on it (think turkey with gravy), and it is near the edge of the plate, you are most likely going to have a little mess on the tablecloth.

Reed & Barton Crystal Soho Balloon Wine Glass

Great product, lousy service from Amazon
If you are looking to buy this glass, you know the quality and the rest, and don't need a review on it. It's a wonderful pattern, and it's a great wine glass.

But I strongly suggest buying it someplace else. Amazon had the worst service on this order of just about any order I've ever placed online. Even though they said it was in stock, it wasn't. When I asked about it, they pretty much told me I was stupid and couldn't read (as they changed the stock levels to several weeks delayed) despite the fact I had printouts and confirmations saying it was in stock.

I canceled the rest of the order, and in two days for less money had the glasses I wanted from replacements dot com.

Reed & Barton Silver-plated 2-Quart Round Covered Casserole

Attractive and Functional
I was given this same casserole as a wedding gift almost 25 years ago and I needed another one so I recently purchased this one on Amazon. I've used this casserole at home for special dinners, holidays and I've also used this casserole to carry dishes to parties or other dining events. It's very attractive and will hold a casserole or anything you would normally bake in a 2qt. casserole dish. It will need polishing every now and then and since it's silver-plated, don't use anything that will scratch it or remove the plating. Store it in a box with with tissue paper to help retard tarnishing between uses if you don't like to polish on a regular basis.
